Email: floritastic@gmail.com. Please use this address for privacy questions and requests about your data. Further operator information is in our legal notice.
2. Website and game hosting
The website and multiplayer servers are hosted with Hetzner in Germany. The hosting provider is Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. Hosting requires the processing of connection information such as your IP address, request time, requested resource, browser information and technical errors.
We process connection data to deliver requested pages and game connections. Where processing is necessary to provide a requested service or fulfil a contract, the basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Security and troubleshooting processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our interest is keeping the service available, detecting misuse and resolving faults. Hetzner processes hosting data on our behalf. See Hetzner's privacy information.
Website fonts, styles and illustrations are served from this website.
3. Multiplayer and public chat
Multiplayer games process your chosen player name, room, connection identifiers, network address and gameplay information needed to synchronise the game. Other players can see your name, in-game appearance and relevant gameplay information. Flowertown chat messages are sent to other players in the room and are not private messages to Floritastic.
Flowertown applies a text filter to player names and chat messages. The client keeps a limited recent chat history in memory and clears that history when changing rooms. A recipient can still save or screenshot what you send. Do not publish addresses, passwords or other private information in public chat.
Providing the requested multiplayer functionality is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where necessary for that service. Anti-abuse checks and human moderation protect players and operation of the service under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Cookies and browser storage
Your selected light or dark theme is saved in your browser. Flowertown also saves your chosen name, game settings, credits and unlocks, and uses a temporary browser-tab coordination record to prevent conflicting room connections. These records support the choices and game functions you request. They do not expire automatically; you can remove them through your browser's website-data settings. Clearing game saves can remove local progress, credits and unlocks.
Where browser storage is necessary for a service you request, it is used under Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG. Personal data processing for that service follows Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
The website does not set advertising cookies.
5. Email, reports and postal correspondence
When you contact us, we process your address, message and any information or attachments you supply to answer your request, investigate a report or handle a contractual matter. The basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual enquiries, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for general support and abuse reports, or Article 6(1)(c) GDPR where a legal obligation applies.
Our contact mailbox uses Google's Gmail service. This can involve processing outside the EU/EEA. The specific contractual arrangements and transfer safeguards for this mailbox still need confirmation; we do not claim that all email data stays in Germany. See Google's privacy policy. Postal correspondence sent to the published c/o address is received and forwarded through Impressumservice Dein-Impressum.
To report harmful content or a problem, use our contact and reporting information. Send only the information needed to understand the issue.
6. How long is data kept?
- Browser settings and game saves: until you reset them or clear the website's stored data.
- Recent client chat history: held in memory, limited to recent messages and cleared on room changes.
A browser-data removal does not remove data held on our servers. You can make a data request using the email address above.
7. Your rights
Subject to the legal conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability under Articles 15–20 GDPR. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests under Article 21 GDPR, including for reasons relating to your particular situation. Where processing depends on consent, you can withdraw it for the future without affecting earlier lawful processing.
You can complain to a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the EU country of your habitual residence, workplace or the alleged infringement. A prior complaint to us is not required. The European Data Protection Board lists the authorities.
There is no legal obligation to use chat. Necessary connection data is processed when you use multiplayer functionality. Contact us at floritastic@gmail.com to exercise your rights.
